Stay Positive!

Feeling discouraged is part of the human condition. When it comes to weight loss, as well as most other areas of life, it is common to feel mired in despair or feel stuck. Mindfulness is an invitation to free oneself from the narrative of one's past regrets. Every moment is a gift of life, an opportunity to renew. We learn from our past, but we do not let it define who we are today. Instead of getting stuck in the negative, it is imperative to keep moving forward, to be positive and proactive. While this may not be our natural response, when we continuously work on having a more positive mindset, over time—say 21 days or so—it will become our natural perspective.
